Turkey Trot 2008

This year, before I dive into the turkey, I am putting on my running shoes for the 2008 Turkey Trot. Five miles of pre-gobble running bliss. There is also a two mile walk route for folks who would like to have a slightly more relaxed turkey day. Proceeds from the run/walk go to area Boys' and Girls' Clubs and YMCA's.

Instead of traditional trophies for the top contenders in each age category, you could walk away with a fantastic Thanksgiving turkey. And every finisher gets a pumpkin pie, ah life is sweet! If that does not get you to sign up, I do not know what will.

  1. Not sure pumpkin pie does it for me; but it sure does sound like fun!

I want to do this so bad, but I'm having both Thanksgiving lunch and dinner at my house, so something tells me I should probably stay home! Have fun and good luck! If you're up for a meal after...email me and you are more than welcome to stop my--it's gonna be a madhouse anyway, what's one more!

  5. Wow, I never thought about doing a run BEFORE I eat - that's a great idea. I don't think I'm anywhere near this one but I bet we have something similar going on. What a good way to boost the old metabolism before going to Tryptophan Heaven. :)

    Good luck on the run!
